We are looking for adventurous, gravel curious riders who have the capability of riding 15 – 30 miles self-sufficiently to join us on a ride.

This is a no drop ride. You will need a gravel-capable bike (gravel, mountain, hybrid, or cyclocross). The ride will be a mix of bike lanes, paved bike trails, un-paved bike trails, and gravel surfaces. Average speed will be 12 - 14 MPH. This is not a fast ride or an easy beginner ride. This will be a fun, mild paced “Adventure Ride”.

The ride will start at Global Bikes in Gilbert and will vary, depending on the route, with a maximum distance of 30 miles. Expected ride times are 2 to 3 hours.

We will meet at 7am and begin the ride from the shop at 7:15am.

What you will need:

  • Hydration, Hydration, Hydration!
  • Helmet
  • Sunscreen/sunglasses
  • Lights are required
  • Roadside repair supplies (spare tube, inflation, & tire levers at a minimum)
  • Nutrition for longer rides
  • Dedication
  • A sense of adventure!

Prior to attending, please make sure your bike is in proper working order. If you need help getting your bike back to riding condition, please stop by one of our locations. Global Bikes offers several service options to get your bike ready to ride. Bicycle service can take a few days so please plan accordingly.

If you have read the description and feel that you cannot safely participate in the event, please wait until you are ready or consider one of our other rides.
