Eindhoven is already a unique place, and there's more to come... On Feb. 22, BrainWaves - a 2-hour city consultation about our Eindhoven of the future will take place! During BrainWaves, you can have a conversation with other Eindhoven citizens about how you see the future of our city.
The city consultation takes place on a new democratic platform (developed by an Eindhoven-based start-up) that previous users have described as "shockingly fun" and "full of potential."
On this platform, the discussion is fed by statements. Examples include:
- Citizens must be heard and have more influence on the city.
- Nature will play an integrated role in Eindhoven within 10 years.
- Citizens' wishes about housing in the city must be given concrete form.
- Culture will have a clearly defined place in Eindhoven in 2030.
- The role of AI within the city will have limitations.
- and many more...
Don't find a statement interesting? Then you can move right on to something else! You can also easily introduce your own statements during the discussion.
Discussions take place in small groups of 3. There are several rounds of 10 to 20 minutes, depending on what the group participants want. In each round, you are placed in a discussion room with two other interested Eindhoven citizens, where an AI bot moderates the discussion and ensures that all the ideas you make together are recorded. Some reactions from previous participants about meeting strangers through the platform:

The discussion takes a hybrid form: you can participate physically at Dynamo (while enjoying a free drink), or join online with your phone right from your comfy couch. Are you coming to Dynamo? Then please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start on time.
Are you energized by this idea? Then deliberate with us on February 22, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Participation is completely free. The only requirement to join is to take a moment to register via this Eventbrite page - and you'll receive more information via email later. Join us, physically or online - whatever you feel like doing that night, and bring your friends and family! (This will make for some unique conversations at the dinner table.)
