This is the meetup for international exchange through board games.
We are aimed at international exchange through board games.

We have prepared a large number of board games, from those that can be enjoyed by two people to those that can be enjoyed by a large number of people. From those that can be played in about 10 minutes to those that take more than an hour. From those for beginners to advanced level players.

Let's go to the theatre! Last year a group of us went to watch Theatre Iridescences's performance of "Betrayal" and it was absolutely fantastic! This year will be just as good. So come and make some friends and enjoy some international culture.

To get a ticket, just sign up for this event by July 30th. You can pay at the theatre on the day. If you have any questions, just send us a message!

Information about the play:
Theatre Iridescence and Dance Company JAZZcolle proudly present Eurydice—a poetic reimagining of the Greek myth told through the eyes of Eurydice, written by celebrated American playwright Sarah Ruhl.
Exploring themes of memory, loss, love, and a woman’s voice in a male-dominated world, Eurydice invites audiences into a hauntingly beautiful underworld where words, movement, and music intertwine.
This marks the first collaboration between Theatre Iridescence and Dance Company JAZZcolle. Together, we blur the lines between theatre, dance, and visual art to create an immersive, cross-cultural experience that can only happen here and now. Join us for a performance that celebrates diversity and the power of artistic expression across borders.

今回の上演は、Theatre IridescenceとDance Company JAZZcolle.による初の共同プロジェクト。

1, How many people usually attend this event?
As of June 2025, we usually have around 15-20 people at our Wednesday event (most people who come don’t sign up on Meetup).
2, What’s the demographic (nationality, gender, age).
Honestly, it totally depends on the day, to the extent that it would be impossible for us to give a definite answer. It ranges from university students to retirees, from all over the world and different walks of life. We are very lucky to have an extremely diverse group of people attending our events, which is just the way we like it!
3, Do I need to speak English/Japanese to join this event? What if I speak another language?
English and Japanese are the most common languages at our events. Both of the main organisers are English teachers and speak Japanese (Kieran very well, Adam is very much still learning), and we can help people in both those languages. Many of our guests also speak other languages, especially French, Portuguese, Bisaya, Chinese etc.)
4, Is everyone a regular or are there usually new people as well?
There are almost always a mix of regulars, semi-regulars and new people. Which is a great combination.
5, Is it ok to join at any time?
Of course. Especially during the week people often arrive late because of work, or sometimes need to leave early. You can join us at any time. There are usually a few people there from 7pm, but most people arrive from about 8pm.
6, Can I attend without signing up?
Yes, you can. Although it helps us to know who is coming, a lot of people just attend without signing up.
7, Is it okay to cancel if I can't attend?
Yes, of course. Especially on a weekday we understand that plans can change (for example if the boss gives you extra work to do!). Although we would ask that you sign up only if you genuinely intend to come.

3, このイベントに参加するには、英語や日本語を話す必要がありますか？ 他の言語を話す場合は？
私たちのイベントでは、英語と日本語が最も一般的な言語です。 主なオーガナイザーは2人とも英語の教師で、日本語も話せます（キーランはとても上手ですが、アダムはまだ勉強中です）。 ゲストの多くは他の言語、特にフランス語、ポルトガル語、ビサヤ語、中国語なども話します。）
4, みんな常連さんですか？
ほとんどの場合、常連、準常連、新しい人が混ざっています。 それは素晴らしい組み合わせです。
5, いつでも参加できますか？
もちろんです。特に平日は仕事で遅くなったり、早く帰らなければならないこともあります。いつでも参加できます。 通常は19時から数名いらっしゃいますが、ほとんどの方は20時頃からいらっしゃいます。
6, 申し込みをしなくても参加できますか？
はい、可能です。 参加者の把握には役立ちますが、申し込まずに参加される方もたくさんいらっしゃいます。
7, 参加できない場合はキャンセルしてもいいですか？
もちろんです。 特に平日の場合、予定が変更になることもあります。 本当に参加される方のみお申し込みください。
