Sometimes trauma triggers from the past pile up emotionally so that we feel stuck and don’t know which direction to turn for help. Sometimes the traumatic events are so numerous, or so deep, that we become overwhelmed and don’t even know where to begin to deal the effect of our past trauma on our current life. At times like this, we need a way to self-regulate that allows us to take a step back and see the larger picture, not be hijacked by our emotions into overthinking our responses or becoming paralyzed by the task of beginning our work.

Emotional Freedom Technique, or “tapping” is a somatic way to calm down the nervous system and help us sort things out. EFT works to reintegrate and reorganize our thought patterns so that we can get relief from the strong emotions out brain has assigned to certain events, and gradually work at deeper and deeper levels until the sting is gone from our traumatic memories. Done correctly, EFT has become a standard of energy psychology and healing practices.

EFT uses a pattern tapping on known acupressure points from ancient Chinese medicine, as well as particular methods of speaking to the issue at hand. It is easy to learn. While best done with the guidance of a trained practitioner for deeper issues, the technique can be used at home by yourself to regulate emotions and stay in the present in the moment.

This group is committed to creating a breakthrough in your ability to move beyond trauma triggers that throw up roadblocks in your relationships, starting with your relationship with yourself. Learn how to love your true self and take the first steps to share your unique self with the world.
