We’re proud to be collaborating with the Devon Chamber of Commerce for the Global Plymouth Phase II Launch, an inspiring, high-energy event that brings together business leaders, community organisers, creatives, academics, and local changemakers to celebrate innovation, diversity, and social impact.
This free, public event will showcase the incredible work happening across the city and offer opportunities to connect, collaborate and contribute to building a fairer, more sustainable future for all.
What to Expect
Climate Awareness Workshops
Interactive sessions exploring carbon neutrality and how small actions can make a big difference, running throughout the day with facilitator Amy.
Menopause Mythbusters
A refreshing and open session tackling misconceptions and promoting better understanding of menopause.
Purdy’s Punjabi Kitchen
Food, conversation, and storytelling that brings communities together.
Lifestyle Medicine & Mental Fitness
Learn about practical approaches to health and wellbeing with Dr. Sue and career coach Liz Bell, who will explore how to improve productivity, relationships, and overall mental fitness.
Community Spotlights
Hear powerful insights from Carly Elliot on the work of Improving Lives Plymouth and Trauma Informed Plymouth alongside a moving session from Dementia Realm on the vital contributions of those living with dementia.
Wellbeing and Workplace Spirituality
Dr Debbie Clement-Large will share reflections on holistic wellbeing and spiritual care in professional settings.
Transforming Cultural Conflict
Emotional Logic Coach Sven Lauch will lead a 60-minute interactive workshop on transforming division into meaningful connection.
Live Performances
The Plymouth Climate Choir will deliver two stirring performances, showcasing the power of music as a tool for environmental advocacy.
Evening Programme: SWATchat 11 “Tariffs – the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" | From 6:00 PM in Levinsky Hall
Keynotes and panel discussion featuring:
- Dr Patrick Holden – Associate Professor of International Relations and expert on trade politics and diplomacy
- Dr Alexander Haupt – Specialist in Environmental Economics and Public Policy
- Linda Middleton-Jones and Victoria Ferguson – Business leaders and advocates for regional enterprise
- Panel discussion, Q&A and networking
