AI, metadata collection, surveillance, digital identity, device security, anonymous communication and increasingly powerful governments and technology companies are changing what privacy means — and what it takes to protect it.
For the first Global Privacy & Digital Freedom meetup, we’re bringing together people interested in privacy, cybersecurity, technology and digital rights for an informal open discussion.

We’ll talk about topics including:

• AI and the future of privacy
• Metadata and digital surveillance
• Anonymous and disposable digital identities
• Device and endpoint security
• Post-quantum security
• Censorship and digital freedom
• Emerging privacy technologies

There are no presentations and no sales pitches for this first meetup. The idea is simply to meet each other, exchange perspectives, and identify the privacy issues the community wants to explore in future events.
Everyone is welcome — cybersecurity professionals, privacy advocates, journalists, researchers, developers, founders, students, or anyone curious about protecting their digital freedom.

### About the organizer

I’m Stephane Vaillancourt. I’ve spent more than 30 years working in cybersecurity across government, financial institutions and technology companies, and today much of my work focuses on privacy, secure communications and the future of digital identity.
I created this community because I believe some of the most important conversations about privacy shouldn’t happen only inside companies, governments or security conferences.
They should happen openly between people.
