At a certain stage in your career, the next opportunity does not always begin with a job application. It may begin with the right conversation, the right introduction – or the right leader remembering you when an opportunity emerges.
The Leadership Career Lounge at Future Career Festival 2026 is a curated networking experience connecting experienced professionals with corporate leaders and decision-makers – from Team Leads and Heads of to Directors, VPs, EVPs and C-level executives.
The Lounge will be officially opened by DĂĽsseldorf Deputy Mayor Josef Hinkel, welcoming participating leaders and experienced professionals to an afternoon of leadership exchange and meaningful networking.
With only around 40 qualified professionals networking with corporate leaders from 9 companies, the Lounge is deliberately designed to create space for genuine conversations and valuable professional relationships – rather than another crowded career fair.
Participating employers include BASF, Henkel, METRO AG, Uniper, L'Oréal, net digital, CGM and Infosys, with one additional participating company to be announced.
Why join? Connect directly with corporate leaders and senior decision-makers, gain first-hand perspectives on leadership careers and progression, increase your visibility among people who lead teams, functions and organizations, and build relationships beyond the traditional application process. This is not a career fair, presentation or speed-dating format – it is a dedicated environment for meaningful leadership conversations.
Who is it for? Professionals with at least 10 years of professional working experience who are genuinely interested in advancing their careers, developing toward leadership roles or exploring their next senior-level opportunity. Places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis, subject to eligibility verification.
Leadership Career Lounge Agenda | 13:00–16:45
Check-in from 12:30 for professionals; listed corporate leaders have access from 12:00. The programme opens at 13:00 with the Opening & Welcome and the official Lounge Welcoming by DĂĽsseldorf Deputy Mayor Josef Hinkel, followed by three dedicated one-hour networking sessions. Choose your time slot based on the companies you are most interested in meeting.
13:30–14:30 – METRO AG, Uniper, L'Oréal, CGM, BASF, Henkel
14:30–15:30 – METRO AG, Uniper, L'Oréal, Henkel, net digital
15:30–16:30 – CGM, Uniper, net digital, BASF, Henkel
16:30–16:45 – Return to Seifenfabrik, in time for the 17:00 Global Talent Employer Award Ceremony.
Each session starts with a short welcome and Leadership Toast, followed by an introduction of the participating employer leadership teams. The majority of each session is dedicated to open networking and leadership exchange.
Participating companies and session allocations are subject to final confirmation and may be updated before the Festival.
