Traveler Social - September

Join fellow travelers at the September Traveler Social where you can:

• Unpack stories from past trips.
• Collect tips for future journeys.
• Meet travelers from near and far.
• Simply enjoy time with this travel-minded community.

This casual event is a fun way to meet other travelers and get tips for future trips.

This month, we will be in Beaverton, OR, at BG's Food Cartel. This is a large food truck pod (30 trucks). Location has lots of outdoor seating – perfect for a sunny day. What if it is raining? No worries, there is also a large indoor space. At BG's find us by looking for the Wild Spirit Travel / Travel Meetup signs or listen for people talking about destinations around the world.

There is free street parking and a parking lot for BG's across the street (Millikan Way and Rose Biggi Ave). It is also just a 3 minute walk from Max Beaverton Central station (blue line).

There are costs to running a meetup group and holding events. As such, we ask all attendees to make a donation at the event (suggested amount is $5). If you do sign up, please plan to attend. If your plans change simply switch your RSVP here on meetup. Not showing is hard on organizers, venues, and other members. Honor the RSVP system – if you sign up show up.

Travel Social Facilitators: Shyla Esko Bare is an International Travel Coach with Wild Spirit Travel. She specializes in solo travel tips and travel for women. Shyla has visited 75 countries and lived in Scotland, Australia, Thailand & Mexico (plus the U.S. of course). She has been organizing traveler socials for ten years. Shyla is the co-author of the bestselling Before You Go Abroad Handbook.

Fine Print: Refunds will only be made if the entire event is cancelled.
We will follow Covid-19 protocols that may be in place when we meet, currently there are none. The CDC does recommend that people get a Covid-19 vaccine/booster. Please be courteous of other travelers, do not come if you have Covid-19, flu, or cold symptoms. Photos taken at the event may be used by Shyla & Dan Bare, or Wild Spirit Travel, in social media, websites, or print. They may promote future meetups, travel talks/classes, the Global Traveler Pass, or general Wild Spirit Travel activities.
