Re: [american-276] Recommendations for electronics shopping at Yongsan Electronics Mart

Hi Chris,

I bought a lens from the Canon store over there, and it was great. It comes with a warranty too....
The other shops will offer a less price, but you have to be very careful to make sure that they are selling you what you really want.
They tried to sell me an weird version of the lens I want but I could not trust them.
On the other hand, I do get my camera accessories from these shops....
Perhaps you are referring to Namdemun market.....If you take the subway towards Hoeyeon (line 4), very close to it is a serious of shops selling cameras and all related stuff......
Bargaining is a must except at Canon store...
Also, you get better deals if you pay in cash...

This weekend I hit up the iPark mall in Yongsan for the first time.  I am interested in buying a Canon camera, and was wondering if anyone could make any recommendations when shopping here.

A question that I have is that would I get a warranty if I were to buy a camera from here?

Also a number of expats that I have talked to said there is a whole other electronics market that you get to by crossing a catwalk across the subway station.  I wasn't able to find this.  Does anyone have any directions for this?
