The Global Is Local

Details

Join us in our September Forum when we will be looking at some of the projects we are involved, find out more and perhaps even take part.

  • We will be looking at our partnership with others to help schools develop climate action plans. We have already had 9 volunteers to be climate school ambassadors and four schools who want to pilot this
  • We will also look at how we expand the schools programme to other schools across Enfield.
  • We will be discussing a possible project to look at how we adapt to climate change and what can be done to involve our most vulnerable communities.
  • We will look at how we can create more climate change awareness within the wider communities of Enfield and how we can work with others to develop a carbon literacy programme
  • And finally we will discuss how important it is to place our local activities into a global context as climate change challenges us across the globe.

Fika is an Afghan Canadian who believes that what we do locally is important and is part of a global endeavour to combat climate change. She will discuss how important it is that the local is also global
