Photography & Social Change: Official planning meeting.

Following on from our initial, and informal planning meeting, we are now holding a more formal planning meeting for the photography exhibition that will be held next year.http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/8/b/a/event_59755482.jpeg

In 2012, in partnership with PhotoVoice,we are organising an open to all Photography Exhibitionaround images and the social impact that they can create. This will be a meeting based around an exhibition that will not only look at some of the worlds most powerful photo's, but also encourage photographers of all ages/abilities both within our network and beyond to contribute their work, and look at the impact of images in changing the way we think about the world. We will also be holding a number of workshops in conjunction with the Exhibition.

The central theme for the exhibition will be around marginalised groups of people having a voice/expressing their views using the power of images, and how this can impact, create awareness and help shape social change.

For those who were unable to attend the last planning meeting, but still wish to be involved, we will quickly re cap what was covered at the last meeting to keep you up to pace.

The exhibition will require a level of commitment for all of those wishing to be involved. Therefore there will also be a little form filling for those who are committed to exhibiting their work/ volunteering, running a workshop, or speaking.

If you do not wish to exhibit your work, but are still interested in helping to organise this event, then do please come along.

This is a working meeting, so please only RSVP for this event if you are interested in volunteering to help organise the smooth running of the exhibition, are interested in submitting your work, have ideas, are interested in holding a workshop at/ or leading up to the exhibition or speaking.
