What we’re about
We’re the Gloss Book Club – Munich Chapter, part of a global community for women and nonbinary readers (men welcome too!). Our goal is to connect over great books, lively discussions, and new friendships.
We meet monthly—usually the last Tuesday at a local café or bar—to talk about our latest read with guided questions and plenty of room for open conversation.
Members also get to vote on future books, join virtual author Q&As, and enter a raffle for the next pick.

Book Club Meetup: Finding Flora by Elinor Florence
Bar Café Milano, Amalienstraße 44, München, DEStart the new year with an empowering, full-hearted historical novel set on the wild 1905 Alberta prairie. Finding Flora follows Scottish newcomer Flora Craigie, who leaps from a moving train to escape her abusive husband and boldly claims a homestead of her own. Surrounded by an unexpected community of women—each with their own fierce resilience—Flora discovers friendship, danger, and the courage required to build a new life on unforgiving land.
As rivalries, land disputes, and a violent past close in, these women must “fire the heather”—raise a ruckus—and fight for their homes, their safety, and their futures. Perfect for fans of Outlawed or The Giver of Stars, this novel will spark a lively discussion.
