## Fall to Winter Skin Reset

As the season cools, our skin asks for different care. This month we’ll explore how to protect melanin-rich skin as we move from fall into winter: with warmth, science, and sisterhood.

### What we’ll cover

  • Fall: Winter shift: Why dryness, tightness, and dullness spike now
  • Hydration vs. Moisturization: Layering that actually works (humectants • emollients • occlusives)
  • Barrier Repair Basics: Ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, and how to read a label
  • Simple Ritual Swap: One change you can make this week for steadier glow

### Who it’s for

  • Black and Brown women on Long Island seeking real connection and melanin-safe skin health
  • Women who prefer truth over trends and community over pretension

### Practicals

  • When: Sunday, Nov 16, 12:00–2:00 PM (we meet every 3rd Sunday)
  • Where: The Shed – Westbury, 685 Merrick Ave, Westbury, NY 11590
  • Cost: No ticket fee. Each guest covers her own meal/drink.
  • Bring: An open heart, your questions, and a small notebook if you like
  • Photos: Optional and unfiltered; consent first, always
