Welcome to the GLP-1 Strength & Support Group, a new extension of our Healthy Happy Hour community and events.
There has been a growing need for honest conversation, practical support, and simple answers for people navigating a GLP-1 health journey. You may be wondering:
“I know strength training is important so I can protect my lean muscle mass... but where do I safely begin ( or contine)?”
“How can I add more protein to my day without feeling like I need to carry grilled chicken around in my back pocket?” LOL
“What are some realistic ways to build healthier habits into my workday, schedule, and everyday life?”
Take a breath. I’ve got your back.
I have worked in the health and wellness field since 1984 as a certified strength and conditioning specialist, trainer, and life coach. What may surprise you is that I am also on a GLP-1 health journey due to metabolic issues. So I understand firsthand that this is not only about a number on the scale. It is about protecting your strength, supporting your health, and feeling good in your body along the way.
Over the decades, I have developed creative, simple strength-training solutions that can be completed in 15 minutes or less, just two or three times a week. Excited to share some of these tips with you!
At our first gathering, we will talk about practical ways to add more protein to your day to support lean muscle, recovery, and steady energy.
I will also be sharing a quick demonstration on how to make refreshing Blueberry Mint Protein Popsicles — a simple summer treat that can help you cool off and sneak a little more protein into your day.
I'll also bring some resources you can take home.
We will have time to get to know one another, enjoy some tea and fiber-packed mini muffins, and open the conversation for your questions, ideas, and suggestions.
We will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. ( & the entrance gate will be closed) so please arrive a little early to sign in, grab your goodies, and settle in.
