For this kick-off event we’re exploring the vital role a thriving industry network plays in helping your career flourish, your business grow, and be part of a new community.
So, without further ado... Let us reveal our fantastic line-up of speakers:
What3WordsSpeaker: Giles Rhys Jones (https://twitter.com/gilesrhysjones), Marketing Director
Creative technology at its best – What3Words is a tool that offers the simplest way of communicating location. Last year W3W had a major year – they won the Innovation Grand Prix at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and have successfully been adopted in 170 countries. Hear W3W talk about the importance of managing the balance of creativity, innovation and technology.
Shotopop (http://www.shotopop.com)
Speaker: Casper Franken (http://twitter.com/caspfranken), Director.
Shotopop is a devout team of visual zealots who pride ourselves on conjuring the new, the unimagined and the fantastical. In our offices, furiously snipping silver scissors give birth to a thousand paper feathers, crazy caffeine dreams turn into flashing pixel rainbows and the most ambitious flights of fancy, become our proudest moments.
Studio OutputSpeaker: Ian Hambleton (http://www.twitter.com/ianhambleton), Group Managing Director
Studio Output is a forward-thinking creative agency; they plan, design and shape brands for a post-digital future. Ian is also a co-founder of Glug and has been integral to building it into the global brand it is today. He’ll be talking through building a creative community from scratch and how this can transform your own business.
Rachel Bradley, Gossip Girl (http://www.gossipgirltalks.co.uk) + Jon Bradley PhotographySpeaker: Rachel Bradley (http://www.twitter.com/gossipgrltalks)
Rachel is founder of the hugely successful Gossip Girls network, set up with the intention to build her own social network when she first moved to the area. Having done the London thing and discovered the dream wasn’t quite the dream she envisaged when her family moved to Bath, Rachel moved with her commercial photographer husband Jon to Wokingham. A dedicated networker, Rachel will talk through how collaboration is key to fostering a valuable network and how the Reading area has supported the potential of her own creative business.
