(MS) Chestnut Ridge Hike it’s wildflower season so this is a popular Hike.
There is a similar hike scheduled for Sunday - if you are on the waitlist this may be a good option for you.
From the gravel parking area at Oak Grove Road, Landrum, the trail leads us up the south side and over Squirrel Mountain and descends to the South Pacolet River. Elevation gain is gradual. This out and back hike passes through various forest habitats along a creek with large boulders and rock outcroppings adding to the fun.
Meet at parking lot at 9:00.
NOTE: If you use Google maps, please select “Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve Parking Area”. If you use the Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve Wildlife Management Area, you will be at the wrong location.
