4th annual Hike Leader Social.
This event in a social setting is for hike leaders to share experiences & tips with other hike leaders and discuss ways to continually improve our hike program. Members who are interested in becoming a hike leader are also encouraged to join!
We are hosting this Hike Leader appreciation event at Golden Grove Farm & Brew which serves beer, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks. We have reserved the covered patio area and adjacent picnic tables for our event, and we will provide the food. Come enjoy some pizza and snacks on us (vegan and gluten free options will also be available), and connect with other hike leaders, while you sip away on your beverage and enjoy this unique venue. For those who are interested, there is an 18 hole disc golf course. Bring your discs and your attitude - it's a challenging course with lot of tunnels through trees!
Please note that the brewery location is a little bit outside of town, you can see it tucked away right off the interstate, but it's not exactly straightforward getting there...
Only active hike leaders and those who are genuinely interested in leading hikes will be added to the event. The goal of this event is for hike leaders to connect with other hike leaders, and to openly discuss how we can consistently get hikes on the schedule for our club members. This is also an opportunity for prospective hike leaders to learn what goes into planning and leading GNHA club hikes. If you are a hike leader but have stopped leading hikes due to health, seasons of life, or other circumstances, we’d love to have you join and explore other ways you can serve by mentoring new hike leaders, sharing your knowledge of the trails, or organizing special nature-related events.

1. Sign up on the waitlist and we’ll confirm that you are an active or previous hike leader. If you’re not a current hike leader, our hosts will contact you to gauge your interest.
2. After you’re confirmed as an active or prospective hike leader, we’ll add you to the “Going List.”
