Gnosis & VariabL: Talking blockchain markets [Gibraltar Edition]

We invite you to a night of discussion, presentation, and demos to learn more about some of the innovative blockchain development projects based in Gibraltar. The night will be hosted by Gnosis (http://gnosis.pm/).
Built on the Ethereum protocol, Gnosis provides prediction market applications to users, and also serves as a platform for developers to build customized prediction market applications on top of. Gnosis was founded as part of ConsenSys, the globally leading Ethereum venture production studio, in 2015 by Martin Köppelmann and Stefan George. A ConsenSys spoke that was spun out to become a fully-fledged company in 2017, Gnosis is a Gibraltar based company with team members spread out all over the world and a development hub in Berlin.
Gnosis (https://gnosis.pm/) will talk about their work on prediction markets which incentivize the sharing of relevant information. They will also introduce their other products, which provide foundational infrastructure, assuring security, stability, and foresight for the longevity of blockchain-driven technologies.

The meetup will also feature a talk by VariabL (http://variable.io/). VariabL is a non-custodial exchange for peer-to-peer derivative products built on the Ethereum protocol. The project was founded in 2015 by Hadrien Charlanes and is currently a spoke of Consensys. It’s designed for individuals and applications that rely on cryptocurrencies as a decentralized store of value. VariabL uses Ether as a collateral to provide trustless hedging mechanisms. The talk will give an overview of VariabL, presented by Simon Polrot (COO) and Claire Pion (Legal Lead).
