Ice Climbing Social in Majestic Muskoka

We’re organizing a small crew for a full-day ice climbing experience with an experienced, professional guide! All technical gear (boots, crampons, ice tools, harness, and helmet) and instruction are provided! The exact location will depend on conditions and individual skill levels. Pricing will range from $219 – $276 per person, plus taxes, depending on numbers.

• Never climbed before or nervous on a harness? We're organizing an intro rock climbing lesson on Feb 28th in downtown Toronto (or you can book your own).

• What is the exact start time and location?

Currently the plan is to meet at 9:30am sharp at the Petro-Canada. The exact time location is subject to change, and will be based on numbers, conditions and group preferences. It will be confirmed 100% the week of the event.

• Is there a carpool available?

A car-pool pick-up & drop-off will be pre-arranged ahead of time in the central Toronto area. A total of 3 spots will be available for participants, costing $20/person, taxes included, to help cover fuel. Based on demand, a 2nd carpool may be arranged. Please inquire for more details.

• How early will I need to leave Toronto to make it on time?

Conditions and departure location can vary significantly. If you are arriving on your own it's recommended to leave the central Toronto area by 7:30am sharp, to avoid being late. For those joining the carpool, this will be the latest time available for pick-up.

• Do I need to have any previous ice climbing or rock climbing experience?

In short, no! However, it can be quite nerve wracking for first timers in a belay harness, ascending heights. For this reason it's highly recommended to book an intro rock climbing lesson ahead of time at a local facility. Most facilities offer affordable group sessions!

• Can you recommend a training program to help me prepare

Absolutely! A certified personal trainer can provide a general training template to help prepare your mind and muscles for the event. Additional help and programming can be provided upon request, for a fee.

• Why is the price a range, and not a fixed amount?

We have chosed a professional guide who basis their fees depending on the number of participants, to ensure top quality service. We are aiming to 4-6 total participants available for this event, hence the range.

• Will you still proceed with the event if you don't have 4 participants?

Unfortunately due to cost constraints, we will not proceed if we cannot confirm a minimum of 4 participants by Sat, Feb 14th.
