Training a group of retirees to hike future exciting mountains! Group members have summited Mt Kinabalu on August 2nd 2023 and Fansipan on Mar 3rd 2024. Average turnout per session is around 10 pax from our 50+ strong regular group.

You are welcome to join us for our regular Monday training at BTNR (Bukit Timah Nature Reserve):

We meet at the visitor center's public toilet area around 10\~1005AM.

Plan to finish in around 100 mins, covering about 6km with 400m elevation gain.

Then we will walk along the rail/green corridor to have optional lunch at Beauty World Centre - plan to reach lunch around noon.

Drivers: Free parking at Jalan Bingka or Bangket. Plan to reach around 945am, park & walk (along green corridor) to BTNR.

Gear Recommendations:
1\. Enough drinking water to last 2 hrs\. \(You can fill up before starting\)\.
2\. Rain gear \- this is a Rain\-or\-Shine event \- must train to hike in rain conditions\. In real hikes\, you have no choice\! \(If you are caught in the rain on the mountain\)\.
Exception: Cancelled only if severe thunderstorm is forecasted - due to safety reasons.

We will occasionally substitute the training events with 1D or 2D1N outings overseas. Approximately every 6 weeks.

\*\* All relatively fit participants without health issues are welcome \*\*

\*\* To be able to keep up with the main group, you should be able to walk up to the summit along the main road in 20 mins or less (and be able to keep up this pace for 2hrs!). Those who cannot will be given an alternate route. \*\*
