We'll follow the Lea Valley Trail from Enfield Lock to Broxbourne, hiking through Gunpowder Park weaving through lakes, rivers, and nature reserves, we stop at the historic St Mary’s Church, the legendary burial site of King Harold, the last Anglo-Saxon King of England.
This route follows peaceful riverside paths, with hidden history, and open green spaces. A perfect for beginners hike or anyone looking for a relaxed weekend adventure. You have the option to Join us at a cosy riverside pub to relax before heading home.### 🕘 Schedule & Meeting Info

Based in the remote village of Rauhula, you’ll stay in a cozy, traditional Finnish house tucked deep in the snowy wilderness. Each day brings a new adventure, with six full days of guided snowshoeing or cross-country skiing through the pristine landscapes of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park – one of Finland’s most breathtaking and untouched regions.Experience the silence and magic of the Arctic wilderness as you trek across frozen fells, through ancient snow-dusted forests, and along sparkling white trails. Hike the South Downs Way, Southease to Lewes the River Ouse & Mount Caburn
Southease Railway Station, South Downs Way, off A26, Southease, East Sussex, BN8 6JS, East Sussex, GBDiscover the heart of the South Downs National Park on this scenic linear hike from Southease to Lewes. This countryside walk follows part of the South Downs Way, offering panoramic ridge views, tranquil farmland, and the peaceful charm of the River Ouse valley.
Hiking from Southease railway station, a tiny rural stop surrounded by green meadows and the famous round-towered Southease Church. From here, we cross the River Ouse and climb steadily up the chalk ridge, joining the South Downs Way towards Itford Hill and the high downs. Expect wide horizons, sea glimpses, and classic Sussex landscapes of open grassland and grazing sheep.
After a relaxed picnic lunch on the ridge, the trail continues past the striking slopes of Mount Caburn — one of the area’s most iconic chalk hills — before hiking, gently into Lewes, a historic market town known for its castle, cobbled streets, and independent cafés.
This 15 km linear hike combines peaceful countryside, history, and inspiring views — perfect for walkers seeking a social and scenic escape from London.***

Devil’s Punchbowl & Surrey Hills Circular Hike
London Waterloo Railway Station, Waterloo Station, London SE1 8SW, GBJoin me for a scenic countryside walk in the beautiful Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, taking in ancient woodlands, dramatic viewpoints, and fascinating local legends, as we explore a circular route from Haslemere
This delightful hike offers a mix of gentle valley walks, woodland paths, and moderate climbs to scenic viewpoints, giving hikers a true taste of Surrey’s varied landscape. One of the highlights of the day is the Devil’s Punchbowl, a striking natural amphitheatre renowned for its sweeping views and unique scenery. Along the way, we’ll also enjoy picturesque countryside, panoramic hilltop vistas, and a touch of local history and legend that brings the area to life.
The hike concludes back in Haslemere, where there will be an optional stop for a well-deserved drink before catching the train back to London.

- Meeting Time: 08:35 at London Waterloo Station in front of the ticket machine and under the large clock. (Alternatively you can meet us at the hike start point - please DM me so we don’t miss you)

- Tickets: Purchase a day return ticket to Haslemere on the day or in advance. Group save tickets buy on the day.
