Windsor Park, Magna Carta Island and the River Thames
Details
Begin your journey with a delightful ramble along the picturesque Thames to the hallowed grounds of Runnymede meadow, where King John reluctantly penned the Magna Carta, a pivotal document that curtailed the authority of future English monarchs.
Venturing further, we'll ascend a forested hill, setting our course for the enchanting Windsor Great Park. Meander through the deer-dotted landscape, ancient oak trees, and rolling terrain, all while enjoying breathtaking vistas of the majestic Windsor Castle. This castle has sheltered royalty since the 11th century, and the Great Park has long been the traditional hunting ground.
We continue to Windsor where you're warmly invited to join us for a well-deserved drink before catching the train back home.
