This Beautiful hike takes us through Buckinghamshire's best-kept secrets. Crossing heathland, meadows, woodlands and parks with tree-lined avenues, pretty lakes, and stunning displays of Rhododendron at Temple Gardens an explosion of colour from April.
Woodland trails lead through pines, veteran Oak, Chestnut trees and some best examples of ancient woodland in Britain, with great opportunities for wildlife spotting and views to Windsor Castle and beyond.
GRADE: Intermediate 25km/16mile 6.5hrs hiking 200m Ascent, the walk mainly flat on good woodland paths.
COST: £12 organiser fee.
MEETING TIME: 09:30 Langley Station (Elizabeth Line)
TRAINS: Tickets are not included, Elizabeth line to Langley, arriving at 09:27 Journey time 25 mins. Buy return tickets to Cookham.
WALK STARTS: 09:30, Langley station, outside the ticket hall
LUNCH: Pack Lunch
ESTIMATED FINISH: 17:30 at Cookham Station.
