The Šar Mountains showcase dramatic alpine scenery—towering peaks, glistening streams, crystal-clear lakes, and lush, dense forests—perfect for hikers seeking both challenge and serenity.

Our trails wind past ancient monasteries, historic ruins, and charming villages, each offering a glimpse into the country’s rich heritage and welcoming spirit. This Balkan gem perfectly blends natural beauty with cultural treasures, creating an unforgettable hiking adventure.

The journey begins in Skopje, where the bustling Old Bazaar invites exploration of lively markets and historic streets. From there, we head to Matka Lake, a serene spot surrounded by cliffs and caves, before trekking the majestic Šar Mountains.

Our adventure continues to Ohrid, a historic town nestled in a picturesque valley along the shores of a pristine lake, where centuries-old churches and vibrant local life await.

Finally, we return to Skopje to conclude our journey, carrying memories of North Macedonia’s spectacular scenery and rich traditions.
