## 🌿 Thames Path to Runnymede & Windsor Great Park Circular

Grade: Beginner
Distance: 18 km / 11 miles
Hiking Time: Approx. 5 hours
Terrain: Easy paths, riverside trails & park tracks

This is a beautiful and historic circular hike following the River Thames to Runnymede Meadow β€” the site where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215, shaping the future of democracy in England.
From Runnymede we climb gently through woodland before entering Windsor Great Park, once the royal hunting grounds. Walking among ancient oak trees and open deer parkland, we enjoy sweeping views before descending the famous Long Walk with stunning views of Windsor Castle.
Windsor Castle has been home to British royalty since the 11th century. After passing the castle, we rejoin the Thames Path and follow the river back into Windsor. You’re welcome to join us for a drink at the end before catching the train home.
