Hike, Lord Sackville's Estate and the Seven Oaks of Knole Deer Park

This beautiful hike guides us through the picturesque Kentish countryside, passing through the expansive and wild deer-inhabited Knole Park, maintained by the National Trust.
We then venture through the quintessential rolling landscapes of Kent, through delightful woodlands, before descending to Ightham Mote, a moated manor house owned by the National Trust. Here, we pause for a leisurely lunch at the cafe.
Post-lunch, we follow the trail as it merges with the splendid escarpment of the Greensand Way, culminating at One Tree Hill. From this vantage point, we are treated to breathtaking panoramic views over the Weald.

Our walk concludes with a charming path through the grounds of Knole Park along Chestnut Walk. This tree-lined avenue boasts majestic old sweet chestnut trees, As we near the end of the journey, we pass by Knowle House, originally constructed as an archbishop's palace, before returning to Sevenoaks. There, you are invited to join us for a delightful meal and refreshing drinks before we make our way back to London.

GRADE: Beginner/intermediate 18km 12m 400m ascent 5.5hrs hiking, 1 hour for stops. Rolling countryside, woodland paths, and park tracks.

MEETING TIME: 09:10 London Bridge Station. outside the main ticket. office.

TRAINS: 09:43 Trains from London Bridge Station to Sevenoaks arriving at 10:07 Journey time 24 mins. Train fare is not included, buy in advance or on the day- Return ticket to Sevenoaks

WALK STARTS: 10:15 at Sevenoaks Station
