Beginners Hike, The Saffron Trail, Hadleigh Castle and Southend Pier

Join us for a beginner-friendly coastal hike along the Saffron Trail, starting at Benfleet Station. We’ll walk through Hadleigh Country Park to the atmospheric ruins of Hadleigh Castle, enjoying sweeping views across the Thames Estuary before continuing through historic Old Leigh. From there, we’ll follow the seafront promenade to Southend Pier, where we’ll walk along the world’s longest pleasure pier. After visiting the pier, we’ll make our way to Southend Central Station for the train home.
