How I became a Go developer

Details

Go is widely considered simple language. But the proposal and contribution process can be intimidating to the uninitiated.

In this talk, I take the audience on a quick tour of my experience from
feature idea, to proposal, to eventually implementing the proposal
myself in just a dozen lines of code, and getting it merged and included
in Go 1.21.

The goal of this talk is to demystify the Go contribution and proposal
process, and encourage others who may otherwise feel intimidated, to
participate.

Please let me know if you can bring some beers/drinks. We pass the virtual hat to help pay for pizzas, please consider that your contributions to the pizza fund help make the event better for everyone. Can't wait to see everyone there!

As always, let mw know if you have any questions or feedback: jcorry@gmail.com
