Matariki weekend Wakeboarding Sunday@Petone

Details
What better way to spend the last day of Matariki celebrations than with an invigorating dip in Wellington harbour. Hopefully we’ll see a little bit of sunshine to get that Vitamin D boost to keep you in tip-top shape.
Beginners are always welcome. You will definitely need to wear a wetsuit and tolerate the cold! You'll get instruction, tips and encouragement and we're very chill - there is no clock ticking! Here's a guide I wrote a few years back https://www.meetup.com/Go-Wakeboarding-in-Windy-Wellington/messages/boards/thread/41744962
If this is your first time out on my boat relax it’s all very easy. Turn up at beach (Petone), western end near where the dog-walkers park in front of the new Wellington Waterski Club room. Look out for a white boat called ZEN DOG, we'll pick you up from the beach.
Say hi, probably best to get into your kit then throw your gear on the boat and climb on.
If you need to borrow some gear i.e. vest or wakeboard then add a comment letting me know your t-shirt and foot size so that I can bring the right stuff. I don't normally supply wetsuits but I do have a few manky old ones in the garage you can use.
Costs - this isn't a commercial venture so your koha is basically to cover gas used. Minimum $30 ($35 if borrowing my gear - boards, vests) but feel free to chip in a bit more.
Being Wellington our weather is very changeable and each forecast says something different, So... it may be necessary to cancel or change location at short notice.
And, if you are running late send me a text on 021 506046.
Please read the Q&A's are on the meetup website pages/discussions but if you need some more info yell out.
cheers
Terry
