Join us on a cultural day trip to Ratchaburi for the “Banana Leaf Rice Festival” (เทศกาลข้าวห่อใบตอง) – a unique tradition of the Karen ethnic group, held every August.

This ceremony is performed to bring blessings and drive away misfortune. It involves eating sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves and a local ceremony for good luck and spiritual well-being.

We’ll also explore local highlights in the area!
Where will we go?

1. Oh Poi Market (ตลาดโอ๊ะป่อย)
   A peaceful riverside morning market in Suan Phueng District run by the local Karen community. “Oh Poi” means rest in the Karen language. A great spot for local food, handmade crafts, and a relaxing vibe.
2. Banana Leaf Rice Festival
   Eat traditional Karen sticky rice wraps, enjoy cultural performances from various ethnic groups, music, and browse local food and product stalls.
3. Ban Hom Tien (บ้านหอมเทียน)
   Visit this magical Thai aroma candle village to see how hand-crafted candles are made and enjoy its artistic candle-filled environment.
4. Chom Phon Cave
   A well-known natural attraction, particularly known for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites

This is another version of a cultural + language exchange outdoor meetup. Great for those interested in Thai traditions and local experiences!

🛶 เราไปที่ไหนกันบ้าง?

1. ตลาดโอ๊ะป่อย
   ตลาดเช้าริมน้ำ บรรยากาศสุดร่มรื่น “โอ๊ะป่อย” แปลว่า “พักผ่อน” เป็นตลาดของชุมชนชาวกะเหรี่ยง อาหารพื้นบ้าน งานฝีมือ และของฝากน่ารักๆ มากมาย
2. เทศกาลไทยตะนาวศรีและข้าวห่อใบตอง
   ร่วมกิจกรรมประเพณีไทยตะนาวศรี กินข้าวห่อแบบชาวกะเหรี่ยง ชมการแสดงดนตรี และร้านค้าท้องถิ่น
3. บ้านหอมเทียน
   บ้านที่เป็นแหล่งรวมเทียนหอมสวยงามกลิ่นหอมอบอวลของเทียนหลากสีสัน มีจุดชมวิวที่สวยงาม และเป็นมุมถ่ายรูปสุดชิคที่ใครๆ ก็ต้องมาเช็คอิน
4. ถ้ำจอมพล
   เป็นถ้ำหินปูนที่ตั้งอยู่ในสวนรุกชาติจอมพล ภายในถ้ำมีหินงอกหินย้อยสวยงาม และมีแสงจากปล่องถ้ำส่องลงมาในช่วงบ่าย ทำให้เกิดความสวยงามเป็นพิเศษ
