Topic: K8s and Go: managing your cluster with operators

Right now, I work as a Software Engineer at Nobl9, and I've been diving into GO for about two years in a professional setting. Before that, I had a blast working on various projects where I mainly used Elixir and Erlang on the backend and had fun with React on the frontend.

My previous job was quite the juggling act – I had to keep multiple projects running smoothly for different clients. That's where Kubernetes (K8s) came into the picture and, to be honest, I really liked using it.

So, in my upcoming presentation, I want to give you a sneak peek into the world of K8s operators. These little magic helpers make life easier when it comes to managing and automating tasks for applications in your cluster. Come join me as I show you how to make your cluster-based apps run like a well-oiled machine with K8s operators.

#2: Daniel Antos
Topic: Beyond unit tests

You've been on the latest "Goat Poznań" presentation, and now your code is covered with unit tests. Yet, things are still breaking: you changed the default value in one module but didn't update the other one; your database migration broke a repository; or you simply forgot to initialize a module with logger, which somehow got to production. This is where integration and e2e tests come in. We're gonna explore testing against a real database, throwing requests at part of your application, or at a production build of your application. All of this with help from go-testcontainers. We will explore few patterns to make these tests easier to write and read, as well as run them all in CI.

About Daniel:
Professional developer out of passion. I enjoy solving users' problems without sacrificing too much of code quality. Programming is a team effort, a constant iteration, and a never-ending quest for improvement. In my free time, I love reading, exercising, spending time in nature (walking, camping, hiking, and kayaking), and psychology.
