What weβre about
Getting together in and around Godalming to meet other people living and working in the area.
Hi to all, new and long standing Godhelmians.
If you see an event you like, come along. If we are your tribe, Welcome.
All age groups are encouraged to join and activities cater for all. Plus the over 40s who still 'have life running through their veins' πΆ. After all, young at heart, older in other places, there isn't an age restriction on having fun.
We are a lively, friendly, social group supporting local venues and events in Godalming and the surrounding areas with an occasional, far-flung jaunt to London town.
Come to an event, it may be the best thing you've done for your social life.
Enjoy life and make great memories.
Events: Festivals, drinks evenings, comedy, meals out, sports plus a variety of other activities. Days out, knitting - oops, kidding π.
The ethos of the group is to support local events, artists and hospitality venues.

Join us for a scenic walk along the River Wey from Godalming to Shalford Park near Guildford, where we'll head into the Cheese & Chilli Festival for the day!
We'll meet in the town park next to the Bandstand from 10:45am, and then head off along the towpath at 11am. It's approx a 4 mile walk, so we should arrive around 12.30pm at a leisurely pace, where we'll head into the festival and join up with the Guildford Friendly Meetup group. π₯³ The rest of the day will be spent sampling the cheese and chilli products of the numerous stalls at the festival, as well as lunch and drinks, and potentially even entering the chilli eating competition if you think you can take the heat!! πΆοΈπΆοΈπΆοΈπΆοΈπΆοΈ
Tickets are Β£9 in advance and can be bought from here where you'll find lots more info about the festival, including how to enter the chilli-eating contest...
After the event we can either walk back, or head into Guildford for further entertainment or just to get the train back π
Please note the towpath by the Wey is quite uneven in places, so decent footwear is definitely recommended! π₯Ύπ
