In Consideration of Creating SAFE and Sacred Space

Meetup Intentions In consideration of creating a SAFE and sacred space

Beneath the sharing of wisdom and sisterhood (and yummy food), there is a significant purpose for us in coming together. At these Meetups, we are co-creating healing for ourselves and for the world. In this co-creation, there are times when we might feel challenged in our participation. These suggestions might be helpful for each of us when a sister does or says something that might feel threatening or triggering in circle…

When speaking, let us each use “I” statements, such as “I think—,” “I feel—,” etc. Yes, speak your truth and stand strong in your truth, while realizing that your truth might not resonate with another’s truth in that moment. Hold the intention to communicate and express yourself in love, wisdom and compassion towards yourself and your sisters.

When listening, let us focus actively and as impartially as possible on the feelings being shared. Let your sister speak without interruption; practice listening with compassion and empathy.

Whether we are speaking or listening, let us each make an effort to hold our Shadows lightly. We are all on the same journey, but we might be on different parts of the journey, and taking different paths on our journey. What might be in one woman’s comfort zone might feel threatening to another woman.

Additionally, to foster a safe space for all, please do not make assumptions or inquiries about a women’s sexual orientation.

Let us acknowledge our different and unique perspectives as we work toward our common goal of remembering, reclaiming, and owning our Authentic Power…bringing much needed change to the world as we do. Blessed BE!

Thank you,
Victoria and Amalya
