Workshop Background

Agenda Summary:

At our ‘Go Global 101’ workshop, we will discuss the Angolan National Private Investment Agency and the Commercial Representatives Office, as well as their roles in overseeing both foreign and domestic businesses. We will also discuss our upcoming light manufacturing and supply chain initiative with the ZONA ECONÓMICA ESPECIAL LUANDA/BENGO. You’ll have access to visa applications to begin preparing for our upcoming trade mission that is especially designed for small and medium businesses.

Why Angola?

  1. Angola is on pace to become one of Africa’s top economic powerhouses.

Once relatively obscure, in less than 10 years Angola is set to outpace even Nigeria in oil production. Quietly the country has implemented development policies that now have top Economists predicting that soon, Angola will be the most powerful economy in Sub-Saharan Africa. If you have ever been to Luanda or some of the country’s major provinces, the energy of opportunity overwhelming confirms so.

  1. Afrinomics is connecting America’s small and medium businesses with those in Angola to generate higher revenue for all.

Small and medium businesses will find lucrative opportunities in every industry in the country such as support services to oil and gas and light manufacturing. As Angola successfully moves closer to becoming a global shipping hub for southern and central Africa, even those in construction and transportation stand to benefit.

We want the Angolan Diaspora at this workshop.

Part of what makes Angola so different from others is its focus on ensuring that Angolans have access to advanced professional opportunities. Afrinomics is launching a project to help the Angolan Diaspora develop their careers professionally as well as invest back home.
