Trails & Ales! Slate Run Metro Park / Homestead Taproom & Kitchen

Details
Slate Run Metro Park is well-known among Columbus natives for its Living Historical Farm, where many of them went on field trips in grade school. (If you've never been to the Farm, it's free and I strongly recommend you check it out sometime.) Perhaps less well-known, though, is that the Park is also a terrific place to hike.
Here is a map of the park.
For this event, we will meet at the Shady Grove Picnic Area. It will be to your left shortly after you enter the Park. There's a latrine here, but no water fountain. We will pass a water fountain and another latrine, though, about halfway through the hike. You might want to bring a bottle of water for the end of the hike, however.
We will hike the Five Oaks, Sugar Maple, Covered Bridge, Shagbark, and Lake Trails. This will be around 4.5 to 5 miles. The strenuousness of Slate Run is comparable to Highbanks, and the trails also tend to be similarly wide and well-graveled as in that park. Part of the hike will potentially be out in the sun, though, so please be prepared for that.
After the hike, we will head over to Homestead Taproom & Kitchen. They also have food options including burgers and pizza. The actual address of the Taproom is 10 S High St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110. If you can't make the hike, we should be there by 5.
