Volunteers Needed to help with Clothing Donation Sorting at Jeffco Action Center

Clothing Donation Sorting for Jeffco Action Center, Sat., June 14th, 8:45AM-11:30AM. 6 Volunteers are needed to help sort the donated clothing for the busy week ahead. We sort the clothing by size & type, put the items on hangers, and then they are hung in the store in the adjoining room. During the week people in need shop with volunteer shoppers in their donation "store" that is set up by sizes and types of clothing just like a regular store. They are told how many items they can receive at the store and are given a time limit for their shopping. We have helped with this portion of their center's activities before and really enjoyed the experience!! The Action Center’s mission is to provide an immediate response to basic human needs and promote pathways to self-sufficiency for Jefferson County residents and the homeless. They are located in Lakewood. I'm really happy that we are able to assist again as our volunteers always love this event!
