Volunteers Needed for Rally for Recovery!

Volunteers Needed for Rally for Recovery, Sat. Sept. 19, 11:00AM-4:00PM, 8 volunteers are needed. We will be assisting Advocates for Recovery at Cheesman Park in Denver. They will be having a parade coming from the Capitol to the Park at 11AM. The parade participants should get to Cheesman about Noon & then the fun really begins! At the park there will be vendors, events, food, & entertainment from the 2026 Recovery's Got Talent Showcase (the final round of winners will be performing at the Rally) from Noon til 4PM! We will be assisting at both their AFRC T-shirt Table where we will hand out T-shirts & give out info; and their Hotdog Station where we will help to cook & serve food! I believe this is a free booth again as it was last year when we had lots of very appreciative guests. All this while being able to hear the Talent Showcase! We helped them last year and really enjoyed the experience! Advocates for Recovery assists those affected by substance abuse through advocacy, education, and peer recovery support services in Colorado communities. It was the first peer-led, peer-run authentic Recovery Community Organization in Colorado! Sign up for a great time while helping a very worthy organization!
We will, once again, be assisting our sponsoring organization, SVGD (Single Volunteers of Greater Denver) with this event.
