Volunteers Needed for Food Relief Pantry!

Food Packaging for Food Relief Pantry, Sat. Nov. 14, 9:30-11:30AM, 6 volunteers are needed. I'm focusing on food events in November since Thanksgiving is coming and many people need food assistance! We will be assisting to pack food packages for families in need. The event will be set up by 9:30AM so we can package the food at 9:30AM that will be handed out starting at 11:30AM. Volunteers will be served a small lunch at 11AM. This event is located in South Denver. The pantry provides essential support to those facing food insecurity. It is open by appointment for everyone to take what they need, when they need it. They distribute items such as grains, canned goods, fruits & vegetables, and often other household staples like diapers and wipes. They also have delivery drivers to deliver the food packages for people who aren't able to come to the location. This is a great way to help families in our community have the food they need!
We will be helping our sponsoring organization, SVGD (Single Volunteers of Greater Denver) with this event. We will, once again, be Going Out For A Good Cause while helping our community, especially to help low-income families have food for the upcoming Holiday season!
