Exploring the Churchill Valley Greenway

Brighten your day with a two-hour exploratory visit to the Churchill Valley Greenway! This land was preserved through a visionary collaborative effort between local citizens and the Allegheny Land Trust. The result of that collaborative effort is that a former golf course has been transformed into a beautiful meadow that has now become home to many native plants and animals. The Churchill Valley Greenway, which was acquired by the Allegheny Land Trust in 2021, covers 151 acres and has five miles of trails. We will walk along some of these trails as we observe the land slowly returning to its natural state.

This three-mile hike is suitable for people of various ages, couples, singles, and parents with children eight years and older. Although local residents often walk their dogs on the Churchill Valley Greenway, for this particular hike, please leave your dogs at home.
