Sentimental Value - new movie by Joachim Trier (CineUtopia Sat, 30 Aug)

Details
After a short summer break, we continue the cinema going events!
We start with the most recent movie of Joachim Trier (best known for The Worst Person in the World, which brought him international recognition) called Sentimental Value. The movie is described as a comedy-drama, with 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and it won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, the festival's second-highest honor (after the Palme d'Or). For those that are not necessarily focused on awards and rankings, it seems to be an intimate analysis and reflection of a father - daughter relationship with its ups and downs. Considered slightly predictable and less complex as The Worst Person in the World, it still seems to be worth seeing especially for Renate Reinsve's performance, a talented Norwegian actress.
Kindly note the movie is in Norwegian and the screening at CineUtopia on Saturday has only French and Dutch subtitles!
See you there!
More cinema events to come soon with the autumn's arrival and we will get to watch good artsy movies.
