July meetup - Summer is here!

We are happy to announce July's Meetup!

Save the date: Tuesday 3 July at 7pm. It will take place in the wonderful New Relic's office, located in Carrer de Balmes, 49, Barcelona.

We have two confirmed talks:

1. YAITSAHSUG - Yet Another Image Transformation Service At High Scale Using Golang - Daniel Caballero (@dcaba)

Given we've had the pleasure to build a global service in Schibsted to store and transform media contents for several marketplaces, we'd love to share some of the properties and tooling allowing us to maintain the service at scale, as well as continue developing it in a quite small team/squad with minimal ops overhead, connecting these properties also to some code snippets, implementation notes, thoughts and key learnings

Daniel Caballero is a Staff Devops/SRE/Systems/* Engineer at Schibsted, previously working for NTT and Oracle, who tries to having some fun with Golang, for instance, to create small services and tools like tcpgoon.

2. • How to go trace - Sergey Kolodyazhnyy (@skolodyazhnyy)

Go is amazing when it comes to concurrent applications, it's fast and efficient, but unfortunately it's quite hard to understand what is going on in runtime. Let's try to use go trace to understand better what happens with application.
