Hello Bristol Gophers ๐Ÿ‘‹!

We're super excited to continue our series of Golang talks.

Speakers:

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Matt Walkerdine - Building a Process Engine in Go

Matt studied maths and computer science at university and has been a software engineer for 15 years, working across industries such as public transport, central government, policing, marketing and finance. He joined Adalpha in 2018 to create a brand-new investment platform which was then acquired by AJ Bell to become Touch.

What is a process engine? Why would you use one? Why on earth did we build one??? This is a journey from conception through iterative delivery of one of the core components of the AJ Bell Touch investment platform, which powers our backend systems and facilitates interactions with our colleagues in financial operations, and external customers, every day.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Nathan Pankhurst - Nix: Reproducible builds and Environments
