Golang Talks - Reliable k8s apps && Fyne GUI Apps

Details
Hello Bristol Gophers 👋!
We're super excited to continue our series of Golang talks.
Speakers:
🗣️ Ettie Eyre - Building reliable applications for Kubernetes
Ettie works as a Principal Platform Engineer at Ovo Energy. She has worked in the platform space as a platform engineer and SRE for the last 8 years. Before that she worked as a polyglot engineer at a number of different startups following a period of time in academia.
Choosing to run your application on Kubernetes allows you to leverage its benefits - scalability, self healing, efficient resource utilisation to name a few, but you must solve some challenges in order to run your applications reliably. In this talk we will cover some best practices to follow both for the application developer and the platform engineer and cover some gotchas for teams running in multitenant Kubernetes clusters.
🗣️ Andrew Williams - Fyne: Building Apps that work Anywhere
Andrew has been a software engineer for 20 years, is also an open source maintainer, entrepreneur and author. He is founder of the Fyne GUI toolkit presented in this talk and is CEO at Fyne Labs where they support and build on the open source project.
In this talk Andrew will run through the background of the Fyne project and its aims, then cover how to get started with it. There will be some code and we’ll build a simple app. He will wrap up with a demonstration of some of the cool projects built with the toolkit.
