Talk Abstract:
Concurrency is difficult, but GoLang makes it a bit more manageable. Learn how to leverage concurrency primitives in Go to build your robust performant apps. We’ll start with For Loops, then gradually add more primitives leading up to WorkerPools.
In this talk we’ll use Go and AWS Lambda to showcase how to build powerful functions to generate images. We’ll also be using AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM) to deploy and run our functions locally.

About the Speaker:
Rodrigo Moran is a Software Engineer with Ippon Technologies USA and specializes in back end software development. He began his journey using Go and AWS Lambdas this past summer, and has continued to expand his knowledge of such since then. While primarily programming in Java / JHipster, he's eager to expand his tool arsenal across more languages, frameworks, etc.
