Intro to Testing in Go - With Andy Haskell (Crosslisted with OrlanGo)

Details

This is a crosslisted event thanks to the generosity of OrlanGo! Join gophers from across the country in this virtual meetup opportunity!

Intro to Testing in Go

Go is great for many reasons, and one of them is that when you install Go, without installing anything else, you get access to a useful testing system: the go test subcommand.
This talk shows why to write automated tests, how to write them, and what that would look like as you're building a Go code repository. It is designed to be an intro-level talk for newcomers to Go or to automated testing as a whole.

Bio

Andy Haskell is a software engineer at Salesforce and on the organizing team at Boston Golang. He is a long-time Gopher and if you've been to one of his talks before, you'll know this talk has something to do with sloths.
