OpenTelemetry & Go

What can OpenTelemetry do to help us observe Golang applications? We will look at it through a simple demo HTTP webserver instrumented with OpenTelemetry Go SDK to emit (distributed) traces and metrics to an OpenTelemetry compatible backend. We will discuss Observability signals (traces, metrics, logs, profiling), what is the current support status in OpenTelemetry and what are some future plans in those areas. And you will be able to see me fumble doing a live demo 😉
