Go 1.8 Release Notes and the Life of a Go Infra Maintainer

Ross Light (@zombiezen (https://twitter.com/zombiezen)) from the Go team will talk about what's new in Go 1.8.

After that he'll deep dive into the Life a Go Infra Maintainer, what has he learned about maintaining large Go code bases at Google and what coding practices are important when you get to that scale.

Lessons from 3 years of Go in production at Uber

Aiden Scandella (sectioneight (https://github.com/sectioneight)) is the Go team lead at Uber and will share how Go became Uber's primary development language and what important lessons they learned from their transition.

Thanks to our friends at Uber for their support and making the space, food, and beverages for this upcoming event possible.

If you need parking, there's a parking garage underneath Uber's building.
