The Theme of the first Golang Serbia meetup in 2024:

"Fundamentals of Go & Concurrency" will focus on the core principles of Go programming language. Why would anyone use Go and what are its superpowers? Besides basics we will dive deeper into concurrency, emphasizing concurrent programming paradigms like goroutines, channels, and synchronization methods demonstrating how these fundamental elements can elevate your code's performance and responsiveness.

About speakers:

Bojan Milinkovic: With a foundation in technical sciences from the faculty, I embarked on my journey with Golang during my mid-student life, and since then, I've become proficient in its application. Throughout my career, I've contributed to several startups spanning diverse industries, including marketing, blockchain, and IoT. My expertise extends to various aspects of software development, with a focus on microservices, communication protocols, databases, and proficiency in cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and AWS. As an advocate for Golang, I am excited to bring together like-minded enthusiasts at the upcoming conference in Novi Sad, where we can delve deep into Golang fundamentals, showcasing its best perks and usability for attendees eager to explore its capabilities.

Stefan Gajic: I work as a Developer Advocate. My journey in the IT industry began working for a small company in my hometown Novi Sad and I started my career as a Go developer. Eager to learn more new technologies, I have joined the network department of one of the largest IT companies in northern Europe. I've also contributed to a blockchain project based in the US. Apart from coding, I actively engaged in writing documentation, interacting with clients, delivering product presentations, and mentoring new employees. I have a deep passion for sharing my knowledge, I am very communicative, outgoing, open-minded, and love to help others.
