Join the Go Language NYC group in a round of talks by local community members looking to share their stories.

All experience levels in public speaking and Go programming are welcome to give a talk!

Please RSVP with your full name. A valid photo ID is required upon entry.

A round of full-length talks, followed by lightning talks.

6:30pm - Arrive, socialize, and eat
7:00pm - Talks begin
8:30pm - More socializing

A walk-through of Go Modules and Project Athens (https://docs.gomods.io).

"Buffalo: Web Application Development is fun again in Go." - Robert O'Connor

Buffalo is a Go web application framework that inherits a lot of the things which makes Rails amazing -- it's a pleasure to work with too! I will walk through how to set up a Buffalo (https://gobuffalo.io) application and show how easy it is to test your web application as you go. I will build a RESTful API in no time at all with full test coverage.

"Deep dive into Interfaces" - Md Kabir

A look into some good and bad use cases of Go interfaces. Diving into things like performance, compilation, and dev. time.

"Go with C. The pros and cons of cgo." - Mofizur Rahman

A talk on the general practices of using Go with C, and lessons learned along the way.
