GC Oceanway Part 9: Mermaid Beach SLSC 5km walk + refreshments :)

Walking from Mermaid Beach Surf Life Saving Club we’ll go along Hedges Ave for 10 mins before walking through the Broadbeach Parklands, past Kurrawa Surf Club and up to our turn around point at Broadbeach Surf Life Saving Club. We’ll move down to the beach enjoying sweeping views of the coastline as we walk back Mermaid Beach Surf Club for well earned refreshments.
This walk is around 5km on paths and sand (the non-sand option is to return back along the path).
We’ll book a table and enjoy social chat and refreshments at Mermaid Beach Surf Club afterwards :)
Bring: $2 donation towards the meetup fees and organiser costs, hat, water bottle and appropriate footwear.

If you would prefer to donate $10 (PayID or cash on the day), you can attend all events until March 2027 - no more remembering gold coins!!
Please be mindfulful to update your attendance to ‘not going’ as soon as possible if you can no longer join us. This is so we can update bookings and not hold up the group waiting for ‘no shows’.

This event (formerly ’Walk & a Wine’) has been running for over 17 years in one form or another. It’s a wonderful way to meet new people, get a feel for the Active and Social Meetup Group and enjoy our amazing coastline views along the Gold Coast Oceanway!
